The Current version of chrome os on the stable channel seems to be a lot faster than the beta channel. Version 14 of chrome os seems to make everything faster. I have noticed that the fan doesn't come on as much than when I was on version 15. Plus I uninstalled offline gmail and it seem to go faster now. I am really likng the stable channel. I am going to stay on this channel for chrome os. I will be waiting till version 15 of chrome os is as good as version 14. I will keep you updated.
